I'm assuming the mom is a boomer and the daughter is a millennial.
You wish.  Her twin daughters Chanda Bell and Christina Pitts were born in 1974.  Fucking gen-X'ers.

Completely different - Elf on tShelf actually works for NSA, so he is watching you Bob ..... right now he is watching you.

And making a detail report of where you go, what you do, who you speak to, and most troubling - what you post on the interwebs.

Update - My daughter asked my wife again. My wife asked her how she felt about it or something. Hazy story straight, she told my daughter he's real and she was really happy and excited.
Pt 2 - We also have the elf out, but we don't tell her its reporting back to Santa, she just likes to find him.

First 6 or 7 years of my life I believed in Santa. Next 20 years or so, I knew Santa didn’t exist but gladly took gifts. The next quarter century of my life I was/am Santa. Last 2 or 3 years I look like Santa.

Life is good.

You do not look like Santa. You look like an androgynous elf.
