It seems it is a collaboration between Boomers and Millennials, keep us Gen Xer's out of your guys fucking shit up.
I'm assuming the mom is a boomer and the daughter is a millennial.

Completely different - Elf on tShelf actually works for NSA, so he is watching you Bob ..... right now he is watching you.Robert J Sakimano wrote:that's almost as freaky as scaring your children with the bearded guy in the sky routine.
And making a detail report of where you go, what you do, who you speak to, and most troubling - what you post on the interwebs.

Re: Santa dilemma
Update - My daughter asked my wife again. My wife asked her how she felt about it or something. Hazy story straight, she told my daughter he's real and she was really happy and excited.
Pt 2 - We also have the elf out, but we don't tell her its reporting back to Santa, she just likes to find him.

Re: Santa dilemma
First 6 or 7 years of my life I believed in Santa. Next 20 years or so, I knew Santa didn’t exist but gladly took gifts. The next quarter century of my life I was/am Santa. Last 2 or 3 years I look like Santa.
Life is good.

You do not look like Santa. You look like an androgynous elf.
