I did flip it over to Fox just to chuckle at whatever they were making up at the time. It was pretty funny. Meet me at the "off topic" board later and I'll fill you in. I don't wanna risk offending the snowflakes over here.

Re: My TV died last night.
LG OLED, there really isn't anything else comparable except for Sony's OLED but it's much more expensive. The B7A has some great deals.y2kMgrad wrote:
Anyway, my question is what do I buy next? Vizio? Sony? I've heard good things about Vizios but I've never owned one. At this point I'm just looking for something that's going to last more than 5 years. I assume I'm too late for Black Friday deals. Any input would be appreciated.

My Samsung died on me a few weeks ago, and they won't honor the warranty for replacement. I'm done with them.

I checked.. the one in our living room is a Vizio.. not sure about the one in our daughter's room or the bedroom.
They all seem to work fine.
You're welcome.

Re: My TV died last night.
If you get the OLED, pay to have it calibrated. If you are going to spend that much $$ on a TV make it perform correctly. I did that and don't regret it. They discontinued the curved 55", which is what I have and I really enjoy it. Apparently one of my neighbors is now asking his wife if they can get one.

Tell your neighbor to grow a pair.

Vizio was good years ago but turned to shit. Have two currently. The 35" bedroom smart TV sucks. Many attempts to get it to hook to WiFi failed. Calls to Vizio support all failed. Would not buy another one.

Re: My TV died last night.
Anybody have a TCL (the creative life)? Apparently they're huge in China. I'd never heard of this company but I keep seeing them come up in articles about best TVs for the money and best TVs of 2017. Way cheaper than an OLED and this is just my basement TV so I'm thinking about trying it.

Re: My TV died last night.
Do you think it’s maybe a little too soon after your tv died? Maybe you should take some time to think and search through your feelings before starting another committed relationship with a tv. I think you’ll both be happier in the long run.

It was a question. Do you have a TCL? If so, how do you like it?

Tell me all your thoughts on God because I would really like to meet her and ask her why we're who we are.

Re: My TV died last night.
TCL is good for a TV you're not going to do main viewing on. Although they do have HDR and a couple of other great features some big-name lower-model TVs don't have.
I think TCL is better than Vizio.
