Am I the only one who is enjoying watching the Tigers more than I have the past couple of years? I mean I miss JV for sure but god damn were they frustrating with all of those bats in the lineup and their inability to score runs. I suspect this will get old when Cleveland (Fuck the Tribe, sorry IB) gets hot and runs away with the division but in the meantime I'm enjoying watching the kids play and occasionally compete.

Wbh seems like every time I turn it on I see runners stranded on base or a BP pitcher implode. It doesn’t feel that much different this year than in the past. My sample size of games is pretty small though.

It's not the results it's the expectations. When you have a lineup of JDM, Cabrera, Martinez, Upton, Kinsler, etc you don't expect to score 1 run every other night. When you have a lineup of Kozma, Machado, Jacoby Jones, Castellanos and 3 guys I've never heard of, I'm happy with 1 run!

Last night they loaded up the bases in the 6th with some good at bats and then along comes Iglesias and he hits an easy to catch pop up to end the inning. I guess it’s the old squad that’s still bumming me out. Right before him Jacoby had a very patient at bat to get on base. Seeing the improvement with the younger players is gratifying.
