Agreed, but it's the off-season and I'm trying to extend the discussion ITT.

I'd walk up to Nardawg and be all like: Don't start nothin', won't BE nothin'.

In all seriousness, between Brandon and the way their boosters would react to hiring an assistant coach from "little brother", I don't see how it would ever happen.

Of course, we'd see all sorts of "Wish list" articles featuring the usual suspects(Miles, Harbaugh, Gruden, etc.). If I had to pick a more under-the-radar name, but one that would still appease UM's "standards", I'd probably say Cam Cameron.

Don't forget Doug Nussmeir. He came from Alabama, which is almost as elite as UM.

Wasn't he already the coach at iu? Frankly I don't see them holding tight to the Michigan man requirement anymore since it's now a badge of fail.

Instead I believe grad assistants could count so like uofm s equal to josh McDaniels is perfect

They will stay true to the Michigan Man thing in the sense that the next coach will be just as likely to not let felonies get in the way of winning.

There was a time when Cameron was the golden boy at scum. As Yertleneck said, though, he was at IU and didn't fare well (par for the course: forks down!), and then more or less disappeared for years until he got fired in Baltimore. I'll be curious to see how he does at LSU.

Looks like he did a solid job in his first season. LSU finished the 2013 season 32nd in total offense(finished 77th in 2012). Finished 2013 with 35.8 PPG(29.8 PPG in 2012), 202.3 rush yards per game in 2013(173.7 in 2012), 251 passing yards per game in 2013(200 in 2012).

Granted, this year will be more telling now that Mettenberger graduated. However, if LSU's offense has another good year, and UM struggles again, I'd expect to see Cameron's name at least in he mix.
