I just read an article in the failing NY Times that basically described how different networks/media outlets reported on it. It wasn't so much a report on how these different outlets reported on it from a partisan standpoint (or maybe it was, it's entirely possible that a certain poster here will run and jump to dear leader's defense and point out how these mean media people are making this out to be worse than it is) - no. Rather it was a report about how these outlets handled using a curseword in their story and whether they used it or not.

Made me think - I didn't even notice. I read it in the freep (web). Never crossed my mind that they were printing the word out.

That probably says something about me.

Holy shit. I'm old enough to remember "colored" fountains and "white" fountains down south. "Blacks eat in the back". I thought we'd see more rights given those people who didn't enjoy them. I don't know where this is going, it's kind of weird, but Stranglove is pretty accurate, there are a shit ton of people who love this stuff, who are now emboldened by it, and who are more apt to vote against those who are for inclusion and against E. Pluribus unum.

That’s all we’ll and good, but that’s not what our president said, is it.

No he didn't say it but that's where his immigration policies are coming from. And the big beautiful wall is the largest symbol of those policies. And if he doesn't deliver on those promises he's toast and he knows it. His comments (as crude as they may be) are to let his voters know that he won't be selling them out.

Now if the Dems were smart (and they're not) they'd give trump his wall in exchange for all the other goodies on their immigrant wishlist. And trump would take that Deal. But the Dems are not smart and they are going to #resist themselves into another disappointing midterm election cycle.

I'd disagree. Immigration especially the illegal version depresses American wages. Also the h1b visas depress IT wages.

You are missing the point, I'm saying there are an ample supply of workers willing to go to California from whatever paradise on earth they now live in because $30,000 a year is more money than they can dream of.
As long as they have the ability to do that(Sanctuary state), there is no reason to raise wages just because someone is, in fact, a US citizen and wages will stay low.
Limit the access of these illegal immigrant workers and wages will rise to attract the needed legal workers.
