Knowing what we know now about player safety, the traumatic effect the sport has on the brain and the long term conditions that players suffer through as a result of the sport...I wonder if the XFL 2.0 will try to amp up the violence in the sport like they did back in the 90's or if they will do more to protect the players?

I actually think there's an opportunity for a new league if they can somehow make the sport safer and less violent. I know it's counter to what a lot of the bloody thirsty NFL audience wants but I determined after I saw League of Denial I'd enjoy the sport just as much if they could figure out a way to stop the players progress without the violent collisions and the devastating hits.

I suspect the fine patriots excited about the XFL also get aroused by truck/tractor pulls and gun shows. So.. there had better be some violence.
