Still another wrote: “I have witnessed unprofessional and sexual comments from the dean about female students – including remarks from the dean of a female wearing ‘come (expletive) me heels’ and another instance where he admitt(ed) to knowing a student for a long period and how ‘she certainly filled out nicely.’”

“I defend the college and do not repeat these stories and would like (for) them to not be true, but with their frequency from so many sources, and my own observations of his unprofessionalism, I am very concerned for the reputation of our college,” the commenter said.

“I feel that Dr. Strampel’s history of inappropriate language, public discussions and stories do not support the college in a positive manner,” one person wrote. “His sexist remarks and inability to talk with a woman while looking at her eyes instead of her breasts are well known and bring down the respect and reputation of the Osteopathic College ... With Dr. Strampel as the ‘figurehead’ of the Osteopathic College, it makes me embarrassed to be associated with, and claim graduation from, the Osteopathic College at Michigan State.”

East Lansing – Michigan State University has cleared the chairman of its radiology department of wrongdoing after he was suspended during the fallout over Larry Nassar, an imprisoned former sports doctor who molested athletes.

The school said Wednesday that a law firm investigated Dr. Suresh Mukherji, chief medical officer of the MSU HealthTeam, and he was reinstated last month. Mukherji says in a statement that he’s pleased his actions were found to be proper.

The university in February announced the paid suspension of Mukherji from his role as radiology chairman pending a review of concerns about his “leadership and departmental communications.”

The following Monday, Rachael and Jacob Denhollander walked around the line of students that stretched out the front door of the MSU Police Department.

They checked in at the front desk and took seats, watching the queue of students who needed parking passes for the new semester. Munford appeared from a side door and welcomed them, walking them back to an interview room furnished with comfortable seating and calming artwork.

Denhollander had wanted the face-to-face meeting. She wanted to give Munford her medical records. She wanted to see how seriously Munford took the report. She wanted to see for herself if Munford believed her, because she suspected others had spoken up in the past and been dismissed.

"I was not confident at all at that point," Denhollander said later. "I really didn’t know what to expect."

Jacob Denhollander, her husband, didn’t say much, but over the course of the next hour or so, Rachael told Munford about the five times Larry Nassar sexually assaulted her when she was 15. Nassar had digitally penetrated her vagina. He had been sexually aroused.

"I left cautiously optimistic that she was at least going to try, that it had at least been taken seriously and that she appeared to be someone who was trustworthy," Denhollander said.

And I’m not in a snit. This isn’t about MSU and the prigram, if it’s that bad, burn it. But I want to know why he’d complain about the athletic saying shit about him, it publishes a sentence like that, that he can’t be 100% sure if at this point anyway.

That's like saying, "TV and movies are cool, but to pick watching sports over everything else that you could watch?"  I mean, sometimes people like to follow their sports teams.  Yeah, their opinion pieces are often trash, but sometimes articles have information on one's favorite teams from practices, press conferences, or interviews.  And there are a couple of writers that provide some very good analysis and insight.

Letters obtained by the Associated Press from advocates for the accusers reveal the school has been under pressure for at least a year to sever its relationship with Rick Butler. He runs training facilities in suburban Chicago that for decades have been a pipeline for top volleyball recruits, including Michigan State. MSU also held exhibition games for successive years at his facilities, at least through 2014, according to online records.

MSU signed 3 players from the program since 2008. Michigan has 4 players in that time; others at WMU, NMU, GVSU & Calvin College. Every Big Ten school, national power VB programs and small colleges also have recruited players from the Illinois club team.
