But all of that is still really a long way off and I’m frankly far more concerned with winning the house back.

Travis can't see the forest for the trees. There's no unifying principle in the Democratic Party. There's nothing that really sets them apart from the Trump agenda. They may well take control of one or both houses this year, but Trump could easily get reelected if they don't stop this right center nonsense. He's got the bully pulpit, he's got an economy that's chugging along (even if the majority of workers are still getting screwed). What can they offer that's better?

This is mostly nonsense. Actually, the problem isn’t that I can’t see the forest from the trees. The problem is that you are worried about the horizon while the sun is still not even close to half way around the other side of the world. Focus on the forest roc. Or whatever.
