I don't buy that. She knew exactly what her role was when she married him. Same as the other two he married. She knows enough people in russians circles to know small hands every sleazy move. Their marriage is a business deal. Any buyers remorse now is the appearance of looking like a fool for sticking with him even though all along it was business. Even considering a strictly business deal, nobody likes looking like a fool publicly. She has just as much interest in keeping small hands sleazy escapades out of the limelight as he does.

She might justify playing the fool in her head, as long as know one else knows. But, at some point it has to be humiliating. She has a pretty good gig though.

I really like her lawyer Michael Avennati. I see Nate Silver speculate from time to time that he might run in 2020. He’s media savvy, he’s excellent at social media, he seems capable of handling the insane 2 year process that is involved in getting elected. Not saying he will but I can see why Silver suggests it.

It's 2 years, and then the attacks that come out are outrageous. Anyone with a bit of political experience they attack their voting record without providing the context (what else was on the bill they voted for, did they compromise to get something else they promised for etc) and that stuff can stick. Having a long political career and a ton of experience can work against you.

It's the most important job in the world. The bar should be pretty high. And public service at lower levels helps weed out those who can't do the job. Lawyer + telegenic =/= POTUS, just like game show host =/= POTUS...except when it does [insert gun to head smilie here].
