Like who? I haven’t followed this that closely but DeRozan is a star with years left on his deal. I’d be happy if i were him joining an org like the spurs. Pop will get everything and more out of him. The guy can score at will.

The league has passed Pop by. Either that or it's because he doesn't have Duncan, Robinson, Parker and Ginobili in their primes anymore.

The Pistons could have given them Drummond, Jackson, Leuer and Griffin - then flipped Leonard to the Lakers to start the rebuild.

Start the rebuild? They've been trying to patch together a rebuild for a decade.

I'm thinking young guys under 25 and/or lottery picks. Spurs with Derozan are a fringe playoff team in the current west. Better for them to start rebuilding now, in my opinion.

It's far from a knee jerk reaction. The NBA is a players league. Pretty much always has been. The coaches get too much credit and too much blame.

Agree with this. I got really annoyed with the Brad Stevens slurping last playoffs. Good coach? Hell yeah, but it's the players that make him look good. Statistically Tye Lue is a much better coach with more hardware and finals appearances, why doesn't he receive the same level of praise?

Agree, and I think the role Brad Stevens would have in Cleveland coaching LeBron is about the same. It's a players league.

Last time I remember two NBA teams meeting there was the Pistons vs Sonics and I believe that wast he game where Laimbeer got his face fucked up and had to wear the plastic mask for the season.
