Drew Neitzel, Part II. Were any of those on dribble drives?

finishes with 42 points.. that's a lot of points in a high school game against a team worthy of the state semifinal.

OK, so adjusting for the ginger factor, he really only scored about 20 points. I'm less impressed.

I feel like Bridges is more likely to stay. If I were Jackson, I couldn't leave fast enough after being benched for Ben fucking Carter.

Goins will not play the 5 Goose. He's a 4. And I think Henry is a 3/4.

Hope springs eternal. But then we'll get into fall, lose a game we shouldn't, get Delany'ed at some point, realize we can't compete at the ultra-elite level, get passed over by a better bowl, and have another 10-3 season.

I don’t know looking at the loss of Bess and Clark if we had both of those guys I think we get out of the first weekend and have a higher seeding. There’s something to having upper class men in the tournament.

Re: 2018/2019 Hoops Thread - Year 1 of the Foster Loyer Experience
2018-19 college basketball rankings: Way-too-early projection has Kansas and Duke at the top
11. Michigan State
Coach: Tom Izzo
2017-18 record: 30-5
Notable players definitely gone: Miles Bridges, Jaren Jackson, Gavin Schilling, Tum Tum Nairn, Ben Carter
Other expected departures: None
Notable players expected to return: Cassius Winston, Nick Ward, Joshua Langford, Matt McQuaid, Xavier Tillman, Kenny Goins, Kyle Ahrens
Expected additions: Marcus Bingham, Foster Loyer, Gabe Brown, Aaron Henry, Thomas Kithier
Why the Spartans are ranked here: The losses of Miles Bridges and Jaren Jackson to the NBA Draft will hurt. But it's not like Tom Izzo didn't have time to prepare for that development. And there are still enough nice pieces in East Lansing — plus a top-15 recruiting class on the way — to make the Spartans the favorite to win back-to-back Big Ten regular-season titles. Cassius Winston will be the leading returning scorer. He averaged 12.6 points in 28.1 minutes per game this season.
23. Michigan
Coach: John Beilein
2017-18 record: 33-8
Notable players definitely gone: Muhammad-Ali Abdur Rahkman, Duncan Robinson, Jaaron Simmons
Other expected departures: Moritz Wagner
Notable players expected to return: Charles Matthews, Zavier Simpson, Jordan Poole, Isaiah Livers, Jon Teske, Ibi Watson, Eli Brooks, Austin Davis
Expected additions: Brandon Johns, Ignas Brazdeikis, David DeJulius, Colin Castleton, Adrien Nunez
Why the Wolverines are ranked here: If Mo Wagner returns, the Wolverines will definitely be much higher than 23rd. But even without him Michigan belongs in the Top 25 (and one) -- as long as Charles Matthews doesn't also jump early to the NBA Draft. The Kentucky transfer averaged 13.1 points and 5.6 rebounds this season. His development under John Beilein, like most players' development under the top-shelf coach, has been noticeable.

Re: 2018/2019 Hoops Thread - Year 1 of the Foster Loyer Experience
Fucking barf. Listen I'm Foster's biggest fan, having watched him in person a few times and seeing what he can do. I think I'm fairly realistic about his prospects at the D1 level. But come on Hondo, I'm 3 minutes in and you've already made me throw up in my mouth twice.
"Listen, we're genuine friends..." (to Coach Fife)
(paraphrasing) "I think Foster has a legitimate chance to become the 2nd best PG in MSU history behind Magic....tell me where I'm wrong."
Hondo is the worst, man.

Listen OTPT, I say this with all sincerity. Hondo is a really close personal friend of mine. We go back many, many years. He comes from a WONDERFUL family. Please don't be too tough on him. As a father, I just want you to know that he and I see eye to eye on many things. We have a lot in common, and he is a very close friend of mine. I truly mean that. I have a lot of admiration for him. He is a great, great friend of mine.
