ND and Georgia to play home and home

@ Notre Dame in 2017, in Athens in 2019.

We play ND in 2016 and 2017, unless they cancel...

makes sense, actually...they want to expand their brand outside of the region. they don't really gain anything by continuing to play midwest based programs. tradition is a value they appear ok to lose out on.

They'll be playing some ACC schools already.

I wouldn't go that far. It will be interesting the next 4-5 years. There will be pressure to have an 8 team playoff, and eventually the big programs/conferences are going to break away from the NCAA.

Not sure i see a few teams breaking away from the NCAA as an improvement.

Inevitable. You've got too many D1 or FBS or whatever they call it schools that won't ever be able to compete with the big boys. And the big boys will want to run their own playoff system.

It's just a money grab. Adding Rutgers and Maryland to the BigTen is just idiotic for any sport other than football. Plenty of other conferences are doing the same crap.

Saw a tweet somewhere that this is the first time Georgia will play a game north of the Mason Dixon since 1965.

I agree. From my point of view greed is killing the sport.

ND is playing down south

B10 is trying to play out east

Also most of the big time programs schedules are so diluted with weak opponents you'd have to be loaded on booze to find any enjoyment during the games.

ND might cancel games it had scheduled with Texas those years.

Georgia won 15 - 7.

Michigan lost the next week to MSU 24 - 7 (also in AA). Suck it Wolverines.

It's all about tradition at ND.

ND wants to play regional rivals now that they moved to the ACC.

UM did not lose either game. You're wrong. Did you check the game times? The two games might not have started at noon so they would not have counted. Maybe the refs stole the games from UM. All I know is that UM has never lost.

They have their own TV network. How much more national do they need to get ?

I don't like this at all... they have no right do this.
