Streaming MSU football radio call ?

What’s the best way to do that? From the spartan radio network app that costs $? Is there an alternative?

In the mountains with limited service and would love to hear Blaha while sitting by the fire. Thanks in advance swill go green

I use tune in radio app. Search MSU v asu. Should be able to find a stream.

Don't you still need to be a Spartan Sports Network subscriber to stream it on Tune In? But maybe not for the ASU broadcast.

It's possible. I've always streamed games from all over the country.  Never tried an MSU game though. Probably get a ASU stream.

Another free alternative is the WJR-AM app, which streams football and basketball. (I use it while walking the dog during games.)

That app was super buggy for me and I got rid of it like last year. Do you have any issues with it?

I think I remember having issues last year, too, but no problems this year. I’ve only listened for 20 minutes or so. I also had deleted the app last year, so I downloaded whatever new app they have, which still sucks from a cosmetic viewpoint.

I just visited the WJR site to figure out how to listen live on Saturday because I might be off in the woods somewhere. There is some right-wing nutcase named Dan Bongino filling airtime on that station right now. Damn embarrassing to be tied into that station.

If you didn’t hear for yourself the games aired or streamed on the station, you’d have no idea WJR had any association with MSU games at all. I haven’t checked this year, but in past seasons, there’s been no mention at all about MSU FB or MBB. No ads, no game specific graphic for pregame or kickoff. In fact, for the past two years and maybe longer, when the game was streaming, it still said some talk show was playing. It’s ridiculous how long WJR hasn’t been pulling its weight in this partnership. It was the opposite when the station had um athletics. It went out of its way to pump the wolvies at any opportunity. I remember that because I listened a lot more then, before the majority of the hosts were of a questionable political persuasion.

It may be why WJR signed on with MSU, because they didnt have as many requirements on their end (i.e., the less promos they have to run for games, the more ad time they can sell themselves). I'm not sure to what extent, if any, WJR can sell ads in game themselves.

Also, isn't the Spartan Radio Network independent (owned by Tieman)? Michigan's, by comparison, is owned by Learfield Sports, I believe, which is one of the largest, if not the largest, owner of sports radio networks in the country. So Learfield has a lot of influence over their stations. I wouldn't be be surprised if they require more from their stations. Tieman has little power to require anything. He's probably just thankful to have WJR on board at all.
