Re: My Soup Rankings
tWife make a "lasagna soup" with sausage that's pretty awesome.
No bacon potato cheddar? That's the shit if done right.
I had a "stew" (they called it) in San Fran that was essentially a tomato based soup with mussels, lobster, fish like years ago and I still pine for that shit.

Re: My Soup Rankings
Broccoli Cheddar is my favorite soup, but I'm really not much for soups, in general. Stews are a little more my style, but I don't eat much stew either.

Re: My Soup Rankings
I’d like to add Minestrone and loaded baked potatoe to the thread. Oh and traditional Greek bean soup.

Re: My Soup Rankings
My wife and I always say "we both love soup". It's our little joke. But I DO actually love soup.
2-5 I might shift around, but this is a damn good list. It's soup weather bitches!

Sounds like cioppino, which I believe originated from Italian-Americans in San Fran.

But if you put some broccoli in there, it counts.

Re: My Soup Rankings
Love split pea...usually make it with smoked ham hocks or leftover ham. Make navy bean soup with the same.I.B. Fine wrote:No love for Split Pea with bacon?
Black bean soup is good. Will usually order that if it's on a restaurant menu.
As said, no soup list is complete without New England clam chowder. Manhattan chowder sucks. No actual dog in the fight but Boston>>>>>New York
Beet soup is awesome. Always a bit of a shock when you take a shit the next day and there appears to be blood in your stool. Real memory jogger.
Other honorable mention soups:
Mushroom
Asparagus
Potato/leek
Even some cold ones:
Cucumber
Gazpacho
