Fuck Microsoft and Dell

Forgot about it until last week, realizing my warranty was going to expire. Some people use their cell phones for everything. I'm not one of them. Prefer a laptop to the phone for internet. Couldn't scrounge up a loner so bought a Lenovo to tide me over until the Dell gets returned. Who knows? Could be months.

Started the Lenovo up last night and went through setup. Connected to the internet and setup another Microsoft account. One point in the setup asked for my phone number. Punched it in and immediately got a text message about something called "Microsoft Launcher". May have clicked it just to see what it was. Finished setup on the Lenovo. Went to bed and decided to check my phone alarm. Was shocked to see everything on my phone looked different. Fuckers at Microsoft had somehow uploaded their shit to my phone...Cortona, Bing, etc. Even ways the phone (Galaxy S8) responds to swipes changed. Was pissed but too tired to fuck with it last night and went to sleep.

Got it sorted out today after investigating the MS Launcher app...reset to Samsung settings and all is well. Microsoft did me, under the guise of syncing my new laptop to my phone.

Called Dell again to get a return label. Indian dude. His English was one of the most difficult to understand I've encountered going all the way back to my stats prof fall term 1979. Think he's sending a label but not sure. May give Dell another call tomorrow.
