I like Harbaugh's offense because it reminds me of a time before smart phones...really phones in general, but definitely smart phones.

Living in Michigan is the problem with the song Nordic. Was it a bad song the first time I heard it? I honestly can’t remember. I’ve done all of those things Nordic and I like to do them in peace free from your garbage anthem that you prefer to play every single time you do any of those things.

Truly awful song. One of the all time worst. It’s an embarrassment to the entire state of Michigan and everyone living here. The kind of song that gets played on repeat at Jobbie Nooner. Probably its theme song. In fact, Kid Rock is exactly the kind of guy who would fit right in at Jobbie Nooner.

I have to go to Kmart at lunch today to pay my weekly installment on the rake I put on layaway last month. Plus interest. Fingers crossed a fine American rock star or comedian paid it off for me. Leaves are gonna be covered with snow soon.

Look at it this way.....If you put the $25 on your layaway at Walmart it's not in your pocket tempting you to spend it. It's safely "saved" for Christmas.

This isn't new, decades ago layaway was very common before everyone had credit cards. And if you didn't do layaway then you might be in a "Christmas Club" savings plan at your local bank.

I think young people don't realize that into the mid 70s credit cards weren't rare but they were MUCH less common than they are today. Layaway and similar plans were a way to pay for big purchases.

Yeah I hear you, it made sense in the 80s, maybe even the 90s. Retail was a different beast. Hell I think I put a toy truck on layaway at Kmart when I was a wee tyke and getting $1.50/week in allowance for chores. It just kinda boggles the mind that it's still a thing today. Retail stock is so readily available and there are so many options for how to pay for things. It just seems like a relic.

It really is. There are still people that don't have or don't use CC's so I guess it works for them. It must be a profit center for the stores or you wouldn't think they would still dink with it.

lol. I've never been to a show or bought a ticket, I was too old for Kid Rock I think. I think I know 34 songs of his. I thought he was a dumb ass but had someone talk me into watching his interview with Dan Rather and i'll admit I was impressed. Not nearly as stupid as he can seem at times.
