Does the swill have MLK day off?

I will not be working so there will be one less mod here please behave yourselves.

We got bought by a big conglomerate. Given holidays suck. We did not have Xmas Eve off. I was told by the guys on the team I manage that it's ok b/c we have MLK Day off instead. Wife and kids are off school. I told my wife I had it off. She was all giddy making some plans to go skiing or some shit. I said to my guys on our meeting Thursday hey so we have Monday off eh? And they're like no, we have President's Day off, not MLK Day you fool. So now my wife is pissed.

HUGE Bullshit. But I can't complain at all. Unlimited PTO and I can basically do what I want as long as I get my shit done. The only thing with a day like tomorrow is I can't really "go skiing" because I need to be available if needed. (Plus it's going to be a high of like 8 and I don't really want to go skiing and neither do my kids but don't tell my wife)

Good point. I took 2 days off the week before last to go golfing.
I'll probably take another day sometime soon to do the same.

Got the day off, taking the wife to the movies instead of doing something else that would give me frostbite. I'm thinking The Upside, or Mary Poppins if the entire swill cast is going to be there too.

My current company operates the same way. No MLK day off but the good news is it's a very slow work day.

Great day with travis

Had 11 straight days off over the holidays. Longest time off in 4 years.

Never had MLK day off...not in my business. However, decided to leave at lunch today. Nose has been running like a faucet since last night. Picked up some cold medicine and tequila. Kicked back watching Pistons/Wizards. Kalin in the game!

Took two naps today.
