O/T Golf at Pebble Peach.
Pulled the trigger to plat a round during WrestleMania weekend in March. Anyone have any advice for the course?

This. Also no one cares if you know Jason Richardson there.

Good point. He doesn't want to drive a wedge between himself and their regular clientele.

How good a golfer are you? Definitely don't bite off more than you can chew. If that means you play the whites, you play the whites. Don't kill yourself...enjoy the course. There's really nothing tricky. It plays pretty much just as you see it. I played a few years ago but remember every shot I hit. It's that special. If you have any specific questions, feel free to fire away.

I played Spyglass about 5 years ago. It was a handful to say the least, but absolutely beautiful. Guys we played with sprung for a caddy which was pretty helpful as I think Spyglass is more challenging that Pebble. At any rate just enjoy the round for the scenery and don't plan on shooting all that well.

I wouldn't go that far. You can shoot well on Pebble if you don't (A) do anything stupid or (B) think you're going to play it like the pros and go from the tips. The course isn't all that hard, really. There are places where you can pick up a shot and places where you can fall into traps. Don't fall into the traps and you can do just fine.

I know people who have played Pebble Beach. I know people who have gone to WrestleMania.
I would never have believed that any person who has done one would ever want to do the other.

Even when I was at State, I carried myself to the point where everyone was shocked when they found out I was a wrestling fan. I never came off as such, since my interest are pretty high class outside of WWE.

Agreed. You're clearly a sophisticated man of very refined tastes. Connoisseur of deep-fried cuisine, game show enthusiast, etc.tJYD wrote:

Nope, just saying. I find it odd that people find it odd that I always wanted to play a round of golf at Pebble Beach and attend WrestleMania.

I have a lot of friends who don't fit the wrestling fan mold. But if you ever attend a show, you'll find that our reputation is largely warranted. That said, lots of people get drunk and golf. So it could just as easily be a redneck golf enthusiast as a high class fan of sports entertainment.

Re: O/T Golf at Pebble Peach.
So how did you pull the trigger on a round in March - are you staying at the Pebble resort, and if so are you only playing PBGC or are you going to also get in a round on Spyglass, the Links at Spanish Bay, or Del Monte?tJYD wrote:Pulled the trigger to plat a round during WrestleMania weekend in March. JYD - let us know what your tee time is, so we can watch you play a couple of shots.

Long story short, a female acquaintance from England did it for me since I challenged her to a round the next time she would be in the States. We are playing the Friday before Mania, that's all I know.

Because, you would never have time on a message board for a long story.

Can I ask you a serious question? Because I honestly have no idea.
Who the hell is Solange?

Or should it be what is Solange? It sounds like a renewable energy firm, or maybe a nightclub.

You probably should have put quotes around the word "relationship". That way you might be covered in case of libel or slander.
Or say alleged relationship.

And what about the Price is Right? I have seen this referred to in the past. Were you a hairdresser on the Price is Right, and that chick was one of the models?

The entire story goes like this:
We first met in 2000. Destiny's Child was hanging with J-Rich. I tagged along with J, she tagged along with DC. It was clear that she had a crush on me, but at the time she was only 14, so I paid it no mind.
2001...Price is Right happen, I won a car.
2009. We got back in contact via Twitter. She gave me a call and wanted to see me during SxSW. Hung out that weekend at SxSW, and that is pretty much it. Still keep in contact once in a while, still friends.

And you didn't introduce her to Forbin? You're no friend.

OK. So, Solange is some 14 year old groupie you met while you were in college, and then stalked on Twitter 9 years later? And that's a "relationship"?
You appeared on the Price is Right and won a car? I'm guessing Wrestlemania was in LA then.
And what is SxSW? Some wrestling thing? A fast food drive thru convention? Some other high class event I'm unaware of?
