Chief Justice Roberts Sides With Liberals in Blocking Louisiana Abortion Law..

Chief Justice John Roberts joined the Supreme Court's liberal wing on Thursday in temporarily blocking a Louisiana law that would have placed restrictions on abortion clinics, in the high court's first major ruling on abortion since the confirmation of Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

I suspect, as most christian conservatives seem to be, that when their buff is called and the numbers are ran, they are more pro choice than any democrat ever will be.....

He's the new swing vote. He's a statist and a firm believer in stare decisis. This will continue until we get that crazy Catholic lady on there to replace RBG

as we know, republicans are about as far from 'pro-life' as one could possibly be.

The last thing they really want is to get rid of abortion - basically for two reasons:

1. what would they do with their pregnant mistresses, daughters, etc then? I mean, the fine people at church would talk..

and..

2. if abortion is outlawed across the fruited plains because 'save the babies'!! then the knuckle-draggin' christians aren't as likely to flock to the polls to 'save the babies'!!

and the knuckle-draggin' christians are about the only base they have left.

They only upheld a stay of the law while the constitutionality of it is working its way through the courts. He’ll get a chance to rule on the law itself in a year or so. Then you’ll see he’s no swing vote.
