D-Day 75th anniversary
Was just sitting in my garage having a beer after work and heard a sound I haven't heard since 2001. Immediately went outside and looked up. A B-17 passed overhead banking right, undoubtedly flying out of Selfridge.
Read a month or so back there are only 14 flight worthy B-17's still around. Feel privileged to have seen one in the air again. The sound is unmistakable.

The last major D-Day anniversary where any of these guys will still be alive. The number present at the ceremony in Normandy today with a little mind-boggling.

Just watching the opening minutes of Saving Private Ryan makes me squirm, the thought of actually being there is incomprehensible to me. Truly heroic, all of them.

The dude in shock who picks up his arm and is wondering what to do with it. That image will never leave me. Who ever put that in there is genius.

Too bad the person who occupies (on rare occasion) the Oval office chose to sully the D-Day remembrance by shit talking.

I watched that last night on AMC, just through the opening battle. Both powerful and gut-wrenching every time.I.B. Fine wrote:Just watching the opening minutes of Saving Private Ryan makes me squirm, the thought of actually being there is incomprehensible to me. Truly heroic, all of them.
When I see these guys at the ceremonies, I can't help but think about the insane carnage that they witnessed first hand. Imagine carrying those memories, which I'm sure reamin all too vivid, for 75 years and counting.

Appears none of you can keep your political commentary confined to tBin. Since the door has been opened here...
Floyd, I like you. Why bring up things that were not part of his D-Day speech, which I thought was quite good. Pelosi shit-talks 365 days a year. Can't stand that fake smile on her face. Wouldn't trust her in the alley with a dog's breakfast.

If so, you've worked your way into your racist, bigoted christian sexual predator's inner circle.
(just be cautious of her fake smile).

Yes. Even mild-mannered Floyd went off-kilter and besmirched a memorial thread with his political inklings.Cameron wrote:This is why we can't have nice things.

Could have taken out Floyd's political commentary and left it on the main board but, no. No one wants to read a thread started in honor of our country's real heroes. Let the twisting commence. I'm outta here until the next time one of you brings politics to the main board and a mod suddenly feels sand in his vag when I counter.
edit to add: where did you get the "formerly right leaning" thing from? I previously thought of Floyd as neutral. Perhaps he should speak for himself.

I've posted here that I've always voted R (except for Blanchard) until Trump came along.
You're lucky I voted for the pot-smoking Libertarian or Hillary would be in the WH.
Sorry the thread got moved. Maybe if Trump had the common sense to leave the domestic politics at home he wouldn't have pissed me off.

Talk is cheap. Actions speak volumes. Biden doesn't brag. He just does it. Even worse, age doesn't matter to him either, making him a pedophile as well.Robert J Sakimano wrote:yeah, I'll never forget that time Biden bragged about sexually assaulting women..The Pantry wrote:Cool. Joe Biden’s Secret Service Agent: ‘Biden Is A Clumsy Sexual Predator’
And, no Bob. This thread should not have been here "all along". Threads about national holidays and days of remembrance have nothing to do with politics. If Floyd wanted to bitch about Trump he should have started a thread here, where it belonged, instead of "sullying" the main board.
There are rules on this forum. Not sure why you libs think they don't apply to you. Hard to believe you're still so butthurt.

I don't consider it a holiday.. you're welcome to.
(See how easy that is?)
sorry you get upset when I use the very words your hero uses when he describes how he rapes women.

Go ahead and ignore Creepy Joe like he doesn't exist because he doesn't agree with your mantra. Keep picking on Trump for things he's said. You have zero proof of anything he's done. I'm willing to admit he's said things I wish he had not.
Again, with the mainstream media? What in the fuck are you talking about? Your libs own 95% of the media and are the ones fueling the fire of partisan politics.

You'd think you'd get the hint and quit posting stupid shit, but here we are again.
And to answer your dumb as fuck question. One entity has been banned from facebook for posting Russian misinformation so they changed their domain name to get around the ban, the other is a legitimate news channel. Do we need to disect this more? I'm going to guess yes because, well, you're not too bright.

Guys it's 2019. We don't need the mainstream media to determine what a piece of shit Trump is. He tells us himself.
I am not that young. But you are a dinosaur if you watch CNN or Fox News and rely on that to tell you what a piece of shit Trump is. He puts out that content with no filter.
