They are outraged. They're outraged that these parents would have the gaul to try to take their child out of a country where the government or drug lords are killing and torturing their families. They are outraged that these brown people seek to find a better life in America like our white ancestors did 100's of years ago for the exact same reasons they are doing it now. They blame the parents for putting their children in these conditions. Sure, the conditions are created by the United States, but so what, they're only brown children. The outrage is properly directed at the gaul of these parents seeking a better life for themselves and their children. Who do they think they are. Probably don't even pretend to be Jesus loving Christians like these fine patriotic white people do.

Probably follow the laws about the situation.

What I mean is that there are procedures not being followed right now. There is an influx of migrants. That’s true and it would be challenging for any administration. What is supposed to happen is the kids are held for 72 hours, max, before they are handed over to a different agency where they are then placed in the country with parents, family members, etc who will care for them. The attorneys who looked into it last week said that nearly all of the kids have someone they could be living with. The problem we’re having now is that they are blowing that 72 hours out of the water. Letting them just sit there without placing them. It’s more than the system can handle as is.

So, a Democrat would probably not treat them awfully trying to stem migration by being cruel dicks. They would place them with family in the country already who will care for them.

Why are you even asking that question? You think democrats would do the same thing? Do you think families trying to escape from violence and poverty don't deserve a chance in the U.S.? Just tear down the statue of liberty, because she apparently has no more meaning in the US.

I think it would be good to ask candidates in the up coming debates how they would handle it differently. I’m assuming that placing kids with their families way quicker will be high on the answer list. But I don’t know that anyone really thinks “is there a problem at the border right now” is really a question. Yes. It’s just about how to deal with it. The trump administration seems to want to make it a horror show, maybe on purpose.

Most of them got hidden from timelines over the course of 2016.

But still, I’d hope they would acknowledge that there is a problem or they’d be silly to want a wall. (Okay maybe they wouldn’t acknowledge that.) The question has always been what to do about it. Immigration reform is something that’s needed, but not necessarily in the “don’t let anyone in okay maybe only people from Norway” way that republicans want.
