I don't know, I think it depends on if enough Rs break with Trump. But if most keep sucking him off, he likes that power. He likes to threaten people and have then kowtow to him more than he likes to actually put in any effort to carry out that threat.

True. I think the establishment tolerates him when he’s a useful idiot, which he’s been for the last four years. He’s wading into deep waters now. Biting the hand that’s fed him. It’s one thing to go after moderate republicans like like Sasse, Flake, etc. He’s declared war on arguably the most conservative member of the GOP. He can’t survive with $250 million of dip shit donations to fight the GOP. That gravy train will dry up quick vs the GOP machine. I bet you’ll see behind the scenes support and willingness to help and promote any scandal or legal issues he has going forward. They’ll bury him.

All of these guys getting censured by their local back home county parties are telling them they will not make it passed their primaries. I think he "wins"... and we have decades to deal with the fallout.

I think the only way to "fix" the party is to blow it up now... Let trump make a "maga patriot party", and hope and pray the existing republican party can survive it's tenure.

Hell, maybe it will push them back toward the center (away from blatant evil) to gain support, make them less useless.
