It would be amazing for a regime change in Russia but the Wagner Group leader is possibly worse than Putin. And the idea that the Russian nuclear arsenal being in his hands isn’t exactly comforting and possibly not worth displacing Putin over. Although I’m sure the US military has contingencies in place for this type of event.

If, BIG IF, Putin is overthrown, he will be killed or commit suicide because whoever takes charge after the coup knows they cannot pivot to different policies with uber billionaire Putin lurking in the background.

With Putin gone from Russia, it’s start the start of dominoes falling.  We know China is rocking in the blocks.  

Does Saudi Arabia (or China) fund a new Russian leader for more control of world oil and gas production?  Does the void in Russian leadership embolden Israel to take out more defense and nuclear research in Iran?

Where does India fit into a new equation?  What happens to Bularus that reportedly just got Russian nuclear weapons?  How much more jumpy does N Korea get without Russian engineers helping them build infrastructure?

It’s going to be a wild ride.  

The only thing I’m certain is I don’t want Russia under the leadership of a man who personally has executed a man by crushing a person’s skull with a sledge hammer and had the act recorded to video so others could see he was serious.

A lot of American patriots are worried today.

To this point Putin has had parts of Russia's military competing with other parts. It will not be good for Ukraine if they are brought under one structured command.

Will Putin fire off nukes if he goes down?

The “coup” is off.

I’m guessing Putin’s pile of money had more buying power than Prigozhin’s and Prigozhin was too optimistic when counting supporters inside The Kremlin.

Wonder if there is any level sucking up Prigozhin can do to spare his life?

the republican/libertarian folks and lovers of freedom in the United States could not be more excited that their hero remains in power.

The Russian wife of a friend seems to think that Ukraine was the aggressor in all of this which is fairly common from what I've heard. Perhaps she's more brainwashed than the idiots wearing the tshirts?

So Ukraine almost got to the capitol with minimal resistance and then just turned around and left?

So the United States had January 6th, 2021, now Russia has had June 24th, 2023.

My read, they are all scumbag mobsters... this dbag got just enough power to freak out putin. He got paid off from following through, probably "owns" 3/4 of Belarus now. Will fly off their tallest building in 6 or 8 months.
Nothing has changed.

I don’t think most of us living in the US realize how transactional Russia and Belarus are politically.

Putin buys his support at home and abroad.  Being one of or the richest individuals in the world, Putin tells Lukashenko you take Prigozhin to stay in Belarus and here’s an extra $500M for your personal account.

Lukashenko now has a leader to start another 2nd Ukraine front or Lukashenko keeps his hand out and Prigozhin buys his way out to spend his days in exile.

Have a hunch regardless of what,if any assurances Putin said or implied about Prigozhin’s future, Putin or the Russian generals Prigozhin has been trashing for months are going to be patient and assassininate him even if it takes years.

I meant before this latest kerfluffle. Typical Russians, according to her, think it was Ukraine going after Russia from the getgo.

Looks like Prigozhin may have gotten the Jimmy Hoffa treatment.
