OK... My fam is setting up a tailgate on campus by the parking structure off of Grand River for Sat. They say tailgating starts at 3:30... But the structure must be open all day. What's the deal? Should their be spots? etc. That must be public, right?

I'm a simple and confused man.

I just walk around Grand River, have a few beers.. then meander to a few different tailgates from there.

My best friend from high school had a daughter go to South Carolina he’d go to an sec game in a town each year. Told me it’s insane crazy. Cant match them. You guys need to seriously look at tailgating off campus. We get no hassle from anyone. Here was our setup today. Tons of grass to spread out on.

15 minute walk to the stadium... a bit longer to get through security.

Had a good time on campus yesterday.

Walked down, met the kid.. hooked up with friends on north campus. Had 4-5 Coors (Banquet beer.. it was an upscale affair).. shot of Fireball. Threw some football.

The kid and I made eye contact at one point and silently agreed to put an end to the corporate country music that someone was playing.

Walked over to watch the band come in.. walked home, ordered pizza (medium cheese).. watched the MSU offense score some points.

Pretty good day.

Can confirm. William Brice stadium @ South Carolina is somewhat off campus. You really can't walk to it. They're super laid back on the tailgating. I'm wondering if the stadium being off campus promotes people coming who aren't going to become stammering drunks. I'd be driving into work on Wednesdays and start seeing Motor coaches and RV's rolling in from Georgia, FLA, etc. I'd guess with a stadium being on campus they're paranoid of Students getting bombed and irresponsible?

Been to a bunch of SEC towns and games (Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina.. Clemson - an honorary SEC school).. they're fine, but I don't think that's who we should aspire to be.
