Ugh. I sort of remember when he got elected and he was labeled the Brazilian version of Donald Trump. Reading up on him he’s famous for telling a representative in Brazil he wouldn’t rape her because she didn’t deserve it. He’s also racist, homophobic and he’s a Christian.

I swear, we are currently living in the toddler times. If I can't play with it, no one can!

I think it was more that she was too ugly to rape or no one would want to rape her, IIRC. And that's hardly the only horrible thing he's said/done. I've posted about him before on this board, but a lot of people don't really care what's going on in other countries unless they can use it to bash Trump (i.e., Russia, North Korea). And Brazil isn't just a one off example, it's been happening elsewhere in South America, as well as parts of Europe. Scary stuff.steveschneider wrote:Ugh. Yeah, I'm guilty of it. A lot of the stuff going on in England doesn't cross my radar either. I guess I usually like to just tune this stuff out but Trump changed me.
This whole Amazon fire has me worked up though and I guess this tragedy has raised my awareness of another massive asshole leading a nation.

Just because they have female parts doesn't inherently mean they aren't controlled by men..
why do you think right wing republican misogynists are so upset by strong, independent women?
(it's a rhetorical question).

That's some incredible irony Bob, to both be misogynistic and slam misogynists in the same post.Robert J Sakimano wrote:MiamiSpartan wrote:

Re: Fucking Brazil
I can't see the tweet, but I think I know the pic you are talking about, with him eating at a KFC. I don't know how true this is, but went down the reddit rabbit hole and apparently this is what he does. Its all staged to look like he is one of the regular people, eating regular food. He's a populist, so take these pics with a grain of salt. Apparently the room he's staying in is Minion theme'd, and there is something meaningful about that as well.Floyd Robertson wrote:Makes you wonder how fiendishly corrupt Bolsonaro was if all he can afford is KFC.
