FTR, in no way did any of my daughters friends or my daughters turn into "Adults" after their 15th birthday. Which I think that's what that term means. I mean, They were kids till they graduated college in my book.

Years ago (probably '91 or so), I was visiting my wife's grandparents in rural Georgia. Peach farming family born in the 1910's (her grandmother was born in 1913)...

At one point, her grandfather began referring to his "hired man".. then another even-less-than-desirable term.. I remember my wife looking across the room at me and her entire lexicon of body language was saying "dear.. let it go. please don't say anything.. let it go"...
