I gotta find the article about some Australian journalist that was in the US and covered one of his speeches at the wall. It was her first exposure to him. The speech was pretty much gibberish. Full of rambling. lies and moments where he contradicted himself. After the fact she was amazed at the headlines, quotes and write ups from the MSM that made it sounds more cohesive. She argued it was pretty much the journalists making the sense out of nonsense. She argued the best way to report it would be to just print the transcript.

That's what we are dealing with these days folks.

Sadly there is rarely any confusion with viruses. Sometimes some slight errors but this is math and science....not a political stump speech.

that's 'cause they know the message isn't good for them.. whether it's impeachment, Russian collusion, sexual assault, paying hush money to porn stars, a global health crisis, etc.

I said this about two seconds after he announced him as the "lead" on this. Pence's track record on handling similar issues is total shit, putting it kindly. The inmates are running the asylum.

The only thing Trump has is the economy. If this virus disrupts that it will hurt him in the polls. He can't let on how bad it gets because that hurts consumer confidence. I have a friend who works for Royal Caribbean, apparently they are burning through cash quickly and this virus is going to hurt the cruise business. I work in produce, any containers in China are staying there. Boats are slowing down and there aren't enough containers. I guess we'll see. Maybe I shouldn't expect a bonus next year.

Trump seeks a 'miracle' as virus fears mount

President Donald Trump is hoping for a "miracle" that will make the coronavirus disappear but tanking stock markets and signs the disease is stalking America are delivering their verdict on his scattershot management of the crisis.

A historic Wall Street sell off, the first case on US soil that could not be traced to travel to countries battling the virus, and news of drug shortages outpaced White House efforts to show everything was under control.

"It's going to disappear. One day it's like a miracle, it will disappear," Trump said at the White House Thursday as the virus marched across Asia and Europe after US officials said the US should brace for severe disruption to everyday life.

The President also warned that things could "get worse before it gets better," but he added it could "maybe go away. We'll see what happens. Nobody really knows."

Except Trump ignored experts and let people back in the country...who were met by medical personnel who weren't properly outfitted.
