Blue Check Twitter users, Credible Journalism and Polls

I remember a long time ago watching the Carl Sagan's The Cosmos way back in the day on VHS and he had a part about Keppler's discovery that earth orbited around the sun in an elliptical orbit.

"Like many philosophers of his era, Kepler had a mystical belief that the circle was the Universe's perfect shape, and that as a manifestation of Divine order, the planets' orbits must be circular. For many years, he struggled to make Brahe's observations of the motions of Mars match up with a circular orbit."


It took Kepler accepting the hard evidence, and scientific fact to go against his core beliefs. This is how he came to a landmark scientific discovery.

We live in a golden age of information. One of my secrets to success is to be humble enough to realize that experts know more about a lot of topics than I do. I rely on them. I accept what they say even if it is counter to my instincts. This is how I'm often right.

I remember a guy that used to post here denied climate change and he used to send my climate predictions from the 70's. I would point out modern climate information and he would claim they weren't true. Fucking Steve was right but how?

A few weeks back during the Luke Fickell interview I saw all sorts of conspiracy theorists running wild with insider information. I stuck with trusted news sources and ended up with a far more accurate time line. Fucking Steve was right again and how does he keep doing it?

Last year I used polls to predict that Joe Biden would be the dem nominee. I was told that polls that far back were garbage but here I am right. Fucking A this Steve guy is on to something.

Today I looked at exit polls, and was told they were garbage. I'm sure the info I gleaned from them was right but I'm sure there's some nay sayers that still won't buy in.

Just remember a good pilot uses his instruments to fly through the clouds when there is no visibility. Twitter, polling data and free links to credible journalism is out there for all of us to use. I know it's natural to resist change but if you are sitting there scratching your head going goddamn Steve was right how did he do it? That's my secret.

It's up to the individual to find credible experts with blue checks. Yes idiots have blue check marks too. There's idiots everywhere and the good thing about Trump on Twitter is it has exposed how vile, corrupt and full of shit he is.

This doesn't answer the bigger question, when we hear stuff like pundit brain is a real thing, or polls are garbage, or blue check twitter users are so full of shit how come over and over again they prove to be valuable?

The MSM would do the country a big favor by letting all the Trump tweets including those from his children and tweets from other politicians die in the Twittersphere instead of giving them a larger audience.

I know but important distinction because I said I don't know shit but I'm usually right. That is definitely different than being full of shit.
