G h o s t stories

This was back a few years ago, and I was a guy who never believed in g h o s t s and always believed even if they did exist, they avoided me because of I would go crazy if they haunted me.

So the story goes one night I have a dream, and in this dream there's my sister, uncle, and deceased grandfather sitting at a picnic table. My grandfather says in the dream, "If you ever want a sign that I'm watching over you all you have to do is this..."

*Grandfather licks his fingers then massages his palms and does the sign of the cross*

*My sister looks at me in the dream and does the ritual*

*I start doing the ritual of massaging my palm and doing the sign of the cross*

Then all of a sudden I hear "BEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEP BEEEEEP!"

I wake up in the middle of the night at 3 am to the sound of my alarm going off. Before then I never made that mistake, and I have not made that mistake since.

So I wake up in the morning and tell my mother, and she just tells me it was a weird dream and just a coincidence.

But the story gets weirder. I went to work and didn't really think about my weird dream and just considered it an odd coincidence, just a little quirky moment of my life.

I come home to my parents house and I'm sitting on the couch watching the tube and my mom says to me, "I just realized something......today's your grandfather's birthday."

I never really knew the man and never knew what day his birthday was. But I did always find a certain fondness when looking at his pictures and hearing stories about him.

I was floored.
