Take family, your job, etc etc out of it. Pretend that you have absolutely nothing tying you to one specific place. You are a total free agent, just arriving to earth set to live a comfortable lifestyle in the country of your choosing. Not fabulously wealthy, but just a normal middle class lifestyle. Where do you go? Why? There could be lots of different reasons; culture, food, politics, sports, language, peoples attractiveness, jobs, landscape, climate, hobbies, whatever you want.
I dunno I just think it’s an interesting thing to think about

New Zealand doesn’t have its own selection and falls into “other”?
Mac level poll.
Mac level poll.

I think Switzerland seems cool. I like mountains. And Swiss Mountain dogs.

There are lots of countries my friends, only 20 available poll options, and I was trying to have a bit of a geographic mix.

I have to go with New Zealand as well. English speaking country, incredible natural beauty, progressive political structure, the highest number of golf courses per capita in the world.

FWIW, I have lived in a non English speaking country and it kind of sucks. I respect the hell out of people who come to the US when English is not their first language. I know how hard it is.

Yeah that’s probably my bad I mentioned language but let’s just assume you can speak the language wherever you go or you would have to pick it up wherever you go, either way

I picked Canada too cam. The people are just so fucking nice when you spend time there. And it’s a beautiful place with politics I generally like. And the weather is great too, as I can’t get behind a place that is too hot, for too long, I get really sick of being too hot right around mid August as is. Also I can get into all of the sports I like from there without feeling like I’m on a different planet trying to watch them in the middle of the night like those NZ idiots.
I also consider Scandinavia but I think I always come back to Canada

Chili doesn't seem to be a bad option, well other than on the poll since it isn't listed.

Like I’m telling you where I want to live. Then everybody will want to live there and the whole place will be spoiled.

Ecuador
Cheap cost of living, just sketchy enough to be fun, rainforest/mountains/beach all within a short-ish drive, and if you're above 5'7 you're instantly one of the tallest guys in the country.

I picked Norway... dig the Nordic model. Plus everyone is happy.
Otherwise, weather would be a large part of my decision. (Some tropic island where constant day drinking is encouraged and wives act all like porn stars for fun all the time.)

You’re also part Inuit, so why not relocate to Inuitland?
