Started drinking Mimosas at 9:00 am. Opened a bottle of Moët Chandon at noon to toast the light at the end of the tunnel when Joe Biden officially became President Biden and former President Trump lost access to he nation’s nuclear codes.
As an old white guy I see hope in a country that elected its first black President and now first black Vice President. Even more hope when you consider their first names are Barack and Kamala.
I also see hope in a President who is calling out white supremacy.

It doesn't surprise me coming from Wallace, as he is just about the only actual journalist at Fox, but it does surprise me that Fox producers let that air, and didn't use their few-second delay to mute it out like they would a swear word.

Chris Wallace is 73. Â He probably suspects he’s on his last contract from the Murdoch owned FoxNews given his age and public failure to walk the company line. Â
Rupert Murdoch had an active hand in the recent firing 16 staff from FoxNews political reporting division including that division’s editor Chris Stirewalt who defended the division’s election night call of AZ going to Biden to it’s election night hosts who were incredulous at the time. Â Wallace can read the tea leaves.

Re: Happy Return to Normalcy Day!
My wife's sister has lived here for a while and about six years ago she stopped to get some coffee from her usual place. She had her infant daughter and my then three year old nephew with her. The place is packed, the drive thru is closed so she decides to go in. She is carrying an infant, trying to wrangle a three year old, generally having a really bad day and she just wants some coffee.
She notices some commotion in the place but is really not paying attention because she is focused on trying to get the kids inside which is proving a challenge. All of a sudden she says a well dressed elderly man runs from inside to hold the door for her. It was Joe Biden.Â
I know it is a rather meaningless story, but I do believe Joe Biden is a decent person.

I'm a big fan of Chris Wallace and I don't think he has ever let the Fox News agenda dictate his opinions. He's a real journalist and the last of a dying breed.

Little side notes was great to see Arod and I loved J Lo’s performance
When Lady Gaga came out I was thinking please don’t come out in the meat dress...happy she didn’t do anything embarrassing and thought she crushed.
Garth had me tearing up. Powerful performance.
Amanda Gorman with all that god given talent. Just phenomenal.
Looking ahead I just hope we can beat the pandemic back and get back to somewhat normal.

I saw that Apple is adding a function to the phone that will alert you if you've come into contact with someone that is infected. I also believe that Biden will increase the amount of testing and make it easier to get rapid tested (I hope). I think this is pretty much what Taiwan is doing. Test the fuck out of people, get alerts from your iphone if you've come into contact with someone that has had it and if you are sick isolate.

The way certain people projected onto him is crazy. If you asked that someone why they did that, they would list a bunch of stuff which trump never displayed, legislated for or even given lip service to....
