This is just espn creating their own content.

Probably the one of the biggest arguments against expanding is for sports talk... they wouldn't have the drama if 12 or 16 got in. (of course they would generate something else) With, of course, the bowl committees and athletic directors not getting free golf junkets all over the country.

I think part of it was they were possibly setting a precedent for later...to have another team (ND/OSU) jump a team they lost to (Cincy/Oregon), or to let a team in (on a statistical basis of sorts) that might have 2 losses (Alabama).  

It was dumb why they did it no matter what the reasoning was.

Here is a wonderful Carrier Dome sightline for a basketball game. They really need a separate basketball arena, but it won't happen because they can pack people into the endzone of the Carrier Dome and seat people in temporary bleachers that might as well be in fucking Baldwinsville.
