Very quiet from Dom so far. That usually means he's working on a blockbuster.   

More likely is he's targeting someone like a Fister that isn't a big name but that can fill a position of need (SS and/or lefty).

Well his move to improve the bp so far has been a disaster. I'd rather have Valverde back.

You're right, the problem wasn't trading Fister, it was getting nothing that has helped this year's team in return.

On the bright side, adding Kinsler was huge. Everyone thinks we need a new bat in the lineup but where do you add it? At 3b, SS or LF?

JD Martinez has been slumping as of late, is this the real JD or will he get his swing back?

I love people panicking on a pitcher after two appearances. Soria is going to be fine. Nathan is looking more like Nathan. Another arm would help, but I think they're on the right track.

I wonder if Dombrowski has his sites set on a Sid Finch type closer with a 168mph fastball?

Two appearances... 2/3 innings pitched, 8 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 HRs, 180.00 era.

If I were to show you those numbers and you had to guess the closer, you have to admit you'd probably guess Valverde.

The Tigers have scored 4.68 runs/game which is 3rd in the AL. Even though they've played the least games, they have the most hits, the highest BA, SLG, and OPS, while leaving the least amount of runners on base. As for pitching, they've given up 4.29 runs/game which ranks 7th among the AL teams. An ERA of 4.02 which ranks 10th and a WHIP of 1.314 ranks 9th. I think it's rather obvious where the team needs to improve, but the problem is how do you go about doing it.
