Screw the hall of fame.

Honestly, I will never visit the Hall of Fame unless there is a bust of Lou Whitaker looking back at me. This is gone from an outrage to a moral failure. I believe there might be racism involved in some of these assholes votes.

I know the knock that Lou wasn't a great interview and the BBWA have held that against him, but on top of that think of the players and writers wives he must have slept with cuz there's no other explanation.

when I saw the thread title, I saw "Screw Hall of Fame" and figured it would be a list of favorite ladies/dudes and/or most admired adult film stars.

Maybe. But I also believe, as Floyd mentioned above, it’s because Lou rarely interviewed and when he did, it was awkward and painful for the reporter and the player. He didn’t socialize or joke around with any of them. How much his religion played a role in that, I don’t know. It might have been the only reason, or maybe because he was also shy. Or maybe he was also a jerk. Doesn’t matter. Lou deserves to be in the Hall and this petty bullshit needs to stop.

But there are many things I would change about the HOF, if I were in charge.

I don’t think anyone is pissed that he’s in. He just happens to be this years example of why Lou Whitaker is getting screwed. There will be more examples.

Little known fun fact: For several years, the Hall was run by a Spartan grad: Dale Petroskey. He’s credited with some good work for the Hall, but got into trouble a couple of times, including a public spat with Tim Robbins over the Iraq War, and questionable spending that led to his resignation.
My late step-dad was good friends with Petroskey and at one point, I was hopeful to get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Hall, but it never materialized.
