Coach: A coach must be either fully retired for five years or, if still an active coach, have coached as either a fulltime assistant or head coach on the high school and/or college and/or professional level for a minimum of 25 years. That person will then be considered for Enshrinement in the sixth year of retirement or 26th year of active coaching. wrote:

If some sleaze like coach Cal is in, why isn't Izzo? Apparently the nominates packets are submitted to the Hall each November 1st. I hope someone is doing this for coach EVERY FUCKING YEAR.

Maybe one of us should put it together before Sunday?

I always thought it was because he didn't have the 25 years.

Considering Calipari was still a point guard in college while Izzo was an assistant up at Northern Michigan, Izzo must have enough service time to count for the 25 years.
