Adding USC and UCLA to the mix takes away from adding Big Ten opponents like IU, Illinois, Maryland, Northwestern, Nebraska, Purdue and Rutgers.

Waiting for the whines from Columbus and Ann Arbor when they have to travel past Lincoln for TV games.

OSU gets UCLA in 2024, and USC in 2025.
MSU gets neither in 2024, and both in 2025.

While I'm still trying to figure out our payback (maybe there won't be one...if not, that's on Haller), I'm not sure we got screwed that much (with the schedule).

Is the payback not having to play OSU (and eventually Penn State) every year?

I wonder how the protected rivalries work. Did both teams have to agree to them? I would think so.

Not sure I'd want Illinois schedule in '24. Games @OSU, @USC, and UM.

So I guess that the computer program running the schedule after 171 times spit one out where it’s impossible for three teams to go 9-0. Two teams can, but not 3.

That doesn’t sound accurate dwags. That’s not how computers work.

If you wrote a program where a condition is that only 2 teams can go 9-0, it didn’t fuck that up 170 times with some guy sitting at the computer like this saying “no computer you idiot. That’s 3 teams”

Arizona and ASU are joining the B12, and MSU is jumping shortly afterward and taking Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska with them. This also means BB games every year against Kansas, UConn, and Gonzaga (because UConn and Gonzaga are joining, too). If that doesn't work out MSU is joining the CFL or resurrecting NFL Europe and playing home games in Copenhagen (insert a dumb chewing tobacco joke by GreenWay here).

It’s what I get for believing what the idiots are saying on ESPN radio. I certainly don’t know if it’s true, and I have to say that I only half listened to it But the Talking Heads did say that the way the 2024 conference schedule was, that it is impossible for more than two teams to go 9-0.

I don’t think that’s true. I saw it somewhere that there are a bunch of combinations in which 3 teams can go undefeated. And some with 4 teams in 2025.
