Cool, but, terrible sight lines. Outdoor college hockey should be confined to football stadiums. See Spartan Stadium or Lambeau in 2006.

Big Ten Network HQ is in Chicago. Don’t think City of Chicago was going to guarantee Soldier Field would be available although the Bears play at Green Bay on Jan 5 in week 18.

Northwestern is playing football in a temporary stadium and it doesn’t have Men’s Ice Hockey.

Original Big Ten member University of Chicago is a D3 program that plays its home games at The New Stagg Field that seats 1650.

Michigan State name Red Savage captain ahead of 2024-25 season

Joining Savage in wearing letters for the Spartans is junior defenseman Matt Basgall, junior forward Karsen Dorwart and junior forward Tiernan Shoudy.

Drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL Draft, Savage just wrapped up his first season with the Spartans and third in the NCAA after transferring from Miami (Ohio) last summer.

In 38 games played this past season, Savage scored 10 goals and added 17 assists for 27 points. Over the course of his NCAA career, he has collected 57 points in 105 games.

Hockey Season Tickets Sold Out

East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State Athletics has announced that season tickets for the 2024-25 hockey season have sold out.

While season tickets are no longer available, single-game tickets for each of MSU's 16 home contests will go on sale on October 2, based on availability. Fans are encouraged to check msuspartans.com and seatgeek.com for additional ticket opportunities this season.

Swept Canisius over the weekend, as expected, by a combined score of 7-1 on the road.

Next up is tOSU (5-0-1) at Ron Mason Rink at Munn Ice Arena for a pair this weekend. tOSU has swept Wisconsin and BG in consecutive weekends.
