Mad Dog Demarco has to be the worst radio personality in America

He's brutal. He's as articulate as Leon Spinks.  When doing interviews, his "questions" are long winded, meandering statements in which he searches for a cogent thought. He sounds pathetically like Chris Farley. His promos are inane and annoying. ( Fred! Fred! Fred! ) I heard he's paid virtually nothing and only gets his time slot because no one else wants it. That's the only thing that makes sense because he stinks. Sometimes, people can be so bad, that they are good... but he's far below that. He's so, so, so, so bad that he's just putrid with nothing redeeming about him.

I'm tellin' ya right now.. and I ain't pushin' no baby buggies, either - there is only one word that can be used to describe Mark Dantonio... and that one word is "freaking unbelievable" - I mean, he can bring a bird to the bush but he can't make them drink water. I seen him on Friday night after the game and he had a look in his eyes that I ain't seen since Abdullah the Butcher at the 1981 Fall Brawl at the Silverdome.. I seen him and he scared my grandchildren. And I ain't even got no grandchildren. It was like razor wire being raked across the collective forehead of Lansing, East Lansing and all points in between.

Mad Dog is like a bad parody of a bad parody of a archetypical shitty local radio host. He's a watered down version of Les Nessman from WKRP and unfortunately, he's not a put-on.

That's pretty solid Bobby.  But, you need to add at least 5 "like I said" parts in there. I drove into Lansing today and flippped to the station (once I was past the airport, cuz you can't get it near the airport)... I heard 3 "like I said"s in 30 seconds.

good point.. you know it's bad when you go way, way out of your grammatical comfort zone and beyond any reasonable interpretation of the English language to imitate someone.. and you still can't fully capture it..

What surprises me are the number of dudes that come to this realization one at a time.  Don't you listen to any of the rest of the world?  David has been un-listenable since he used to be a caller into the Papa Joe Chevalier show 20 YEARS ago.  Just do your job as a citizen and quietly tell your friends that David shouldn't be listened to instead of discovering this for yourself and telling all of us...again and again and again.

Let's start a thread on what we think of Bill Simonson...or not.

Dave would never say "collective forehead" but I like it.
