2015 Corvette Z06

Was behind a black one on 696 on the way home from work today.  Had a manufacturers plate on it.  Incredibly wide fenders and rear end to enclose the massive 335's.  Over 3 inches wider than the base Stingray.

Hard to believe the base sticker will only be $80K.

Hard to image a stock Corvette with 200 more HP. Those poor tires don't stand a chance...

And you're right about the price. "Base" Vette starts at $60k, which is already ridiculously cheap for what you get.
$80k for a car with $250k performance is downright insane.

I keep mistaking Vette's down here in Miami for exotic sports cars. Out of the corner of my eye, I always think they look like a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, then I see the back of them and realize its a Vette. Usually throws me for a quick second.

Agreed, it looks very Ferrari-esque from the front and sides. The back end is a bit of a mess, IMO.

Overall, i think the car is pretty bad ass, but I would prefer a version without so many slits and vents. (and yes, I know they all serve a purpose)

I'll take the SRT Viper over it for 5 more grand just because I think it's the sexiest GD car of all time.

Both are great cars for the price though, with the Vette admittedly being a little better value. Nice to see Murican super cars on the way up.

A prototype C7 Z06 supposedly shattered the course record at Milford proving grounds the first time it was on the track.

A C8 mid engine is coming in the next couple years. AWD would make sense for that platform
