tiger fans: relief pitching

Admittedly I watch exactly zero full tiger games this year mainly because I refused to believe you can win without a closer. Of course I was fooled after the valverde meltdown for the next two post seasons but I had it this year and thank god.

Now can someone pls tell me what Dombrowski did to fix this same problem this season and the future? Give me hope since this same ole strategy aint working and you can blame the skipper only so much

1. Soria was expected to be much better than he turned out to be
2. No one expected Joba to be an aboslute chode on the mound
3. Joe Nathan has killed the tigers for YEARS, no one expected him to don a tigers uni and continue to kill the tigers
4. phil coke sucks

Probably about time to flush out the bullpen (finally).

Second, get a manager/pitching coach that can actually play his BP by matchups as opposed to assignment.

I will defend Nathan. He started the season with a dead arm (whatever that is) and obviously struggled the first half.

In the second half, he only blew two saves and to me that is effective. I grew up watching guys like jack Morris who didnt give a fuck about any other stat other than winning the game.

They still have Phil coke?? Oh boy....
