Why people suck his dick- I don't know. He had a couple of catchy albums in the late 70's but after that his music has been dull, monotonous, self-important and preachy. In his entire career,  Clarence Clemmons is the only element of unique musicianship and "cool" that he ever had. Pretty shrewd of Springsteen hiring Clarence Clemmons rather than some zit-faced, geeky white boy or the E street Band would have been as "hip" as the Partridge Family. Essentially, Springsteen borrowed the soul from CC and proclaimed it for himself just like middle class white kids in the 60's tried to take credit for the civil rights movement.

You could not pay me to go to a Springsteen concert.
