According to AL.com, Muschamp will earn $1.6 million in his new gig at Auburn, making him the highest-paid coordinator in the nation. The figure is nearly double what the Tigers paid ousted defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson, who took home a $850,000 salary and is still owed $2.2 million by the school.

Muschamp is also owed $6.3 million by the Gators, which he will earn over the next three seasons despite taking this gig with the Tigers.
