Tell me about MSU's WRs in 2015
A quote from Terry in an MLive article posted today got me thinking about what the WR position will look like in 2015.
Lippett will be a big loss. Who is going to step up and give MSU that kind of production? Do Kings and Burbridge move into top spots on the depth chart next to Shelton? I'm not worried, but an outgoing senior was by far the most productive receiver for MSU this season. Among the returning receivers, there does not appear to be a clearly identified standout.

I don't think anyone is going to produce like Lippett, but we'll see more balance in terms of catches/targets for the WR corps.
Burbridge and Kings will be up first. I think Madaris and Troup will both have chances, and then Arnett rounds out the group. Shelton to me seems like he's only a WR for end-arounds and reverses. I can't remember him catching many passes this season.

Shelton had 15 catches for 156 yards and 2 TDs, longest catch was 24 yards.

Look for Barksdale to emerge.

Will Arnett even be on the team after this year? What about Barksdale? Can't teach size and he's 6'2". Looks like we're going to be pretty young in the WR category.

Maybe 2015 looks more like 2013? That is what I am hoping. Three receivers were all in the 30/40 and 500/600 range but they were effective. However, 2012 was balanced but there was so much disarray with guys not running routes correctly, not getting separation, and dropping balls. The 2012 group was not effective. It would be nice for a somebody to emerge and set themselves apart in 2015. As for Arnett, well, I think fans know what to expect at this point even though the early reports will tell fans he is looking good and it might be a breakout year.
