Along those lines, two of my claims to fame on the old board pre-247 was getting the ability to delete your own threadsr revoked, and getting the word gay censored by ***.

When you get banned do you get a notification? When I hit reply to a thread it says I don't have permission - when I try to start a new topic it says I must be a subscriber to submit a thread.

That might be a bug. When you get banned you get a screen that says you've been banned from reading this forum.

He's banned. It now says you don't have permission t to post. I think they couldn't figure out how to let people who were banned still reply to pm's, so that was their answer. Only way to know length of Nan and reason is off a mod lets you know.

That's old. You can now read (and PM) even if you're banned.

But, if you are banned and try to post, it will say "You do not have permission to post in this thread".

I was banned once on the RCMB.  It was by tui and it was because I posted a hairy guy and the title of my thread was "hey, can you guys see jesus in this picture?"  It was that Iraqi prisoner picture.   Tui fricken banned me for a week or something.

I don't think I was ever banned before or after.  I'm old though, I can't remember. I was banned not the blue board and uofm's board. But that doesn't count

Nigel, this isn't as big if a mystery as you're trying to make it.

I was banned for calling out some shoddy journalism one time. Ban was probably deserved.

The second time was after we got rid of the f word and I quoted 'Meet the Fockers' which, of course, included the word 'Focker.' One of the power-hungry mods banned me for it. IIRC, it was snake who was kind enough and came to my aid. That one was definitely not deserved.

I haven't had a whole lot of issues. Just having fun pissing people off with my attention whoring posts. But I did get banned on the Wisconsin board for calling out the ginger flop, and on tBB. I bitched Noah out for my banning of nothingness, and he admitted he didn't know what happened. Cool story bro.

Oh and my best story was one night I thought I had finally had enough of the over PC BS and Ty and I stayed up all night posting porn in various threads, and editing posts in months and year old threads to insert porn.

I don't remember ever being banned, but I probably should of at least a couple of times.

The best one that I was responsible for (and the initial increase in the number of mods) - it was probably 2004 or 05, and there were only a couple of mods on the main board, and one on each of the other boards with Trevor being the only mod for the jobs board. Anyway Trevor posts that he is going to a re-enacting weekend and once he was gone I posted there was no mod for the jobs board .... and one of the taters proceed to post porn for the weekend.
GB was trying to contactTB so they could get admin rights to clean up the mess.
