It is, however, significantly better than Pullman, WA. That town wins "Worst College Town in America" going away, IMO.

Ypsilanti is a horrid college town as well.

Pullman is worse. It's in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to do around the town except drink. The nearest city, Spokane, is an hour and a half away, so if you want to do anything, you have to drive there. It's literally a small town, surrounded by wheat fields and desert for hours. The layout of the town also has it so that the bars aren't really within walking distance of apartments and houses that students live in, so you have to drive to go to all the bars in town, meaning you can't have too many drinks when you're out.

West Lafayette sucks, but at least it's close to other places and isn't so remote and isolated. I never want to go back to Pullman again. Worst 2 years of my life.

That town is an embarrassment to the B10. It makes Evanston -where you couldn't buy beer after like 10pm very recently - look wild and crazy.
