Flying Without ID...

Just arrived in Atlanta and my driver's license has come up missing. Probably at the check point in Miami. Supposed to fly back to Miami tomorrow.

Am I ****ed?

100% yer ****ed, you have to have govnt issued photo ID...Get it over-nighted(or your passport), change your flight, or rent a car(which you might not be able to do without your drivers license in hand as well).

Definitely will not be able to rent a car. I tried this once, not realizing my license was expired. Hell you might not be able to buy a bus ticket. Start stretching your thumb.

We understand passengers occasionally arrive at the airport without an ID, because of losing it or inadvertently leaving it at home. If this happens to you, it does not necessarily mean you won't be allowed to fly. If you are willing to provide additional information, we have other ways to confirm your identity, like using publicly available databases, so you can reach your flight.

If we clear you through this process, we may give you additional screening. If we can’t verify your identity, you may not be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint or to board a plane.

On a sidenote, I'm trying to decide between getting precheck or global entry. I def fly more domestically, but internationally 2-3 times/year. Got an opinion on which way I should go? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

I bought a 4 pack of beer yesterday w/o my ID. After fumbling through my wallet for a few minutes, the teenager must've decided I looked old enough when he saw the pampers and Werther's Originals lined up behind it.

I haven't paid attention to the beer aisle ever since I decided it was in the best interest of everyone except brewers and distilleries that I quit drinking. I don't think 4-packs existed back then.

Griffin Claw Brewery (Birmingham...same owners as Big Rock Chophouse) sell most of their stuff in 4 packs of 16 oz cans. They also sell their Gateway session IPA in 8 packs of 12 oz cans. Gateway is a seriously good low alcohol (4%) beer...highly recommend it to anyone wanting a light beer with actual flavor.
