What an awesome experience
Holy hell...that was one of the greatest sporting events I've ever been to. The Carrier Dome felt almost like an MSU home game, and I heard multiple "Go Green, Go White!" chants around the Syracuse campus before and after the game. It was electric in there, especially when they had the "Go Green, Go White" chants between the two ends similar to what we have in Spartan Stadium.
While I think football is a way better sport, I think today might have been better than the Rose Bowl, which I never could have thought after going there last year.
How'd things sound on TV? What did anyone else who went, think of the atmosphere?

I thought they cut away from the celebration too early and quick, but they had to get to the Duke Zags game. I heard a few go green go white chants during the game. The crowd definitely sounded more pro-MSU.

That was probably the best part. People were going nuts when Trice, Valentine and Dawson cut the nets, and then obviously they were pumped when Izzo finished it off.
From before tip-off to the celebration after the game, I was blown away by the experience. I hope Syracuse gets to host more games, because that dome is a sweet venue for the tournament and is actually on a campus unlike most regional sites.

Re: What an awesome experience
this is how I felt in 09 after we punched out Kansas and Louisville. But with less Spartans in attendanceHT wrote:Holy hell...that was one of the greatest sporting events I've ever been to. Re: What an awesome experience
Just got home from today's game. Sorry I could not meet up with you, HT.
Syracuse was pretty much Sparta this weekend. On Friday, MSU fans were everywhere before and after the game. Friday's game was dominated by MSU fans, too. We had an Oklahoma fan in front of us, but I did not notice anybody else around us cheering for the Sooners. Today we had a few more Louisville fans, but still a big majority wearing green.
Great time, and yes, what an unbelievable win.

Awesome to all you dudes that went. Way to represent. Wish I could have been there. Contemplating Indy but probably a bit of a longshot.
