Fantastic piece, really worth a read.

Kid has had a rough life. I was just asking a guy I know who coaches smaller HS kids in Homestead if he had heard of the school he went to. He said there are a few schools like that, no curriculum, no accreditation, no classrooms. A lot of them are just setup as shell companies to collect the vouchers. He did have to play a team in Overtown in which they were stepping over homeless people to get to the court.

And Marvin Clark has a backstory as if not more amazing than Tum's.

Incredible story. Early in the season I was like "this guy really just sucks". But then he grew on me and after reading that - he is my hero.
I have had such an easy life. Although I might have traded it to play D1 hoops.

Amazing story but I got sidetracked by the fact that TumTum's parents are LouRawls and MonaLisa.
