2015 NBA Mock Drafts
Most mock drafts do not include Trice or Dawson. Over at CBS, Gary Parrish predicts Dawson to go to Memphis with the 58th overall pick. However, NBADraft.net is really interesting...Trice at 37 to Houston and Dawson at 52 to Dallas. I can see Dawson possibly being a late 2nd round pick, but I'm not sure Trice is getting drafted.

Re: 2015 NBA Mock Drafts
Trice getting drafted?? Not sure about that either. He is legit small.
I feel like Dawson would have to have the off season of his life to make it. His jumper has improved but his dribbling still sucks and I feel the dawson type of player is very common in the nba. Freak athlete with some skills but not enough to make him stick out.

Agree with your last point, LG. Could easily see Dawson getting drafted late for his athleticism. He has an NBA body and is an elite athlete. Trice, not so much.

We had this debate last year and I was right then, and now. Dawson's not getting drafted.

Re: 2015 NBA Mock Drafts
Dawson couldn't run the point for a high school team if we're being honest

I don't think Dawson's PG skills will be a factor in whether or not he is drafted.

Re: 2015 NBA Mock Drafts
I think some team might look at Draymond's success and see Dawson as Draymond II w/o the 3 point shooting. Potential plus defender of 3-4 positions, strong rebounder and a good energy guy to come off the bench. A team seeing that might be more than willing to take a flyer in the 40-60 range.

What about the fact that he can't really dribble?

Every senior, at every position, in Div 1 could start at PG for 99.99% of high school varsity teams

If we're doing 99.99% statements - 99.99% of Class C and above Boys State Champions* would kick the National Champion UConn Huskies ass. Geno Auriemma needs to stfu about how great the women's game is.
*For example the Saginaw teams (Davis/Green), the Sexton teams (Valentine/Forbes), the Beecher teams (Monte Morris/others), the Pershing teams (Appling/Nix) - it wouldn't even be close.

Here we go again. There is absolutely no similarity in Dawsons game and Greens game. None. Just stop.LooseGoose wrote:I think some team might look at Draymond's success and see Dawson as Draymond II w/o the 3 point shooting. Agreed. Dawson and Green are completely different players.

Please read what I said. "some team"...."A team".....nowhere in there did I say I thought that so telling me to stop is incorrect. Keep in mind I watched both of them for 4 years just like you so I know who they are.
I will argue that there is a similarity on the defensive end, the ability to guard multiple positions, the difference being that Draymond brings it every game. I do stand by my thoughts there - some team will make that link and pick Dawson.

My mistake. I thought you said some team might look at Dawson as Draymond II w/o the three point range.

Anybody ever notice that Dawson and Draymond are pretty much the same player? The only difference is Dawson can't shoot the three. Otherwise pretty much a mirror image of Green.

Man, its hard to believe we didn't win it all with Appling, Harris, Payne, Valentine, and Green last year.
