That should be fun. Don't know if I'll be in attendance but great opportunity in prime time. Fun tailgate too, depending how MSUPD handles it.

I heard $288. Somebody else said $2. There was a pretty heated debate that followed.

Just wait until the ticket office releases them the week of the game. They will be face. Face for a premium game was $80-$150 last year depending on the section.InTenSity wrote:Looks like I'll be in MI around the 12th, probably leaving hte next day. Michigan State football: an update on the Oregon ticket situation
There is a very high demand for tickets to the Michigan State vs Oregon football game on Saturday, September 12th. Oregon wanted to buy more than the number of tickets allotted to them as the visiting team – and MSU said no. Spartan fans are already purchasing tickets on resale sites. And now, the MSU ticket office is using the demand to it’s advantage.

Re: Oregon @ Spartan Stadium 8pm kick
I can see tickets being scalped for $200 if they are even available. If the weather is nice- forget about it...you better have tickets locked up in advance.LooseGoose wrote:Michigan State football: an update on the Oregon ticket situation

And yet the MSU ticket office will have tickets to sell a few days before the game. They always do.

Michigan State vs. Oregon: 5 biggest changes to each football program since the teams' last meeting
EAST LANSING — Michigan State football will return to the national spotlight on Sept. 12 at Spartan Stadium when the Oregon Ducks fly into town, the week after MSU opens the season on Sept. 4 at Western Michigan.
The Spartans play Oregon under the lights, with the kickoff set for 8 p.m. and ABC providing a national telecast.
Many anticipate ESPN's GameDay crew will be in East Lansing to promote a matchup of top 10 teams.

Michigan State vs. Oregon: 5 most pressing issues for Spartans, Ducks, entering fall camp
EAST LANSING -- Michigan State's home opener against Oregon has been one of the most hyped games of the offseason, and with both teams having opened fall camp, the anticipation will continue to build.
The No. 5-ranked Ducks won the first half of the home-and-home series last season in Eugene by a 46-27 count, speeding away from a tiring Spartans' squad in the heat by scoring the final 28 points in the football game.
Michigan State, ranked No. 6 in the preseason coaches poll, opened fall camp on Saturday with news that every player passed the preseason gasser test last Thursday.
Here's the second in a series of tandem pieces by The Oregonian/OregonLive and MLive previewing the matchup as the 8 p.m. ABC kickoff on Sept. 12 approaches.

Re: Oregon @ Spartan Stadium 8pm kick
From the article Loosegoose linked.
What has been the deal with our ST the last few years? It seems as if the first 3 or 4 years of Dantonio's tenure, that was one of the strengths of the team, but this last 3 or 4 years, it has been a weakness. I thought that he said ST was just as important as O and D. Did something happen during that time? I can't remember the last time MSU ran back a punt or even a kickoff for a TD, it might have happened against a crap team. Maybe my mind just blocks it out after having Martin's run against Wisky called back.
3. Special Teams
Redshirt freshman Jake Hartbarger had a rough spring, and junior Michael Geiger had no spring after undergoing a hip procedure in the offseason. There's also a new holder, Matt Macksood, on field goals and extra point kicks. Dantonio has said Hartbarger is as good as he has seen when striking the ball well, and on Saturday he said the redshirt freshmen got off to a good start in fall camp. MSU's coverage units were statistically among the worst at the FBS level last season, ranking 95th in kick return defense and 107th in the country in punt return defense.

Re: Oregon @ Spartan Stadium 8pm kick
Keyshawn had a good senior year returning kicks. pretty sure he ran a punt or two back for tds. The return game has been castrated by rules. Pretty soon kickoffs will be from midfield and punts will be two hand touch. And Coach like players he trusts handling the ball.

You know, any other game, whatever. He'd be a dick, but it's just Purdue. I can deal. I've been looking forward to seeing Oregon play in east Lansing since before this guy even met his fiance. Worst part is that he went to MSU. I get that he doesn't care, but how do you not check the schedule for your guests that do???Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:Travis of the Cosmos wrote:After spending the better part of the last month cursing the name and the unborn children of a guy who decided to invite me to his stupid fucking wedding on September 12th, I finally sent the RSVP that said no. And what the fuck do you mean by "white section" moose? Jesus Christ man, this isn't 1952. We don't do that kind of shit anymore. I mean, maybe in the SEC. But not at Michigan State.Giant Moose wrote:I think I am going to go to this game just so I can wear green in a supposedly white section.

I have a white Sparty shirt with a rose in his mouth that I've never worn but bought because I bought so much Rose Bowl crap with no regard to money. I could wear that I guess, but nah, green it is.

a) you go to ___________ (school) I won't help pay for it
and..
b) if you schedule your wedding during football season, I won't come
neither went to __________ (school) and both dropped out of the school they did attend and one just got out of rehab about a year ago.. dude is definitely in the running for the Parent of the Year
(yes, I know it's not your kid whose wedding you aren't going to - I just thought this was a nice little ancillary tale about how screwed up some people are with regard to what is really important in life).

There are 12, maybe 13 days out of 365 a year, that I'd prefer my kids not to get married on. Is it really that hard?

They're both gutless for not just telling your bro in law that they'll go to any school they want and a overbearing father like that will never force them to not pick a school for them. Oh, and I'd pick the day he said not to for my wedding, not even send him an invite, and when he got upset about it if say I was following his wishes so he could watch a football game instead of attend my wedding.
That's jus me in the mood I'm in right now however.

Re: Oregon @ Spartan Stadium 8pm kick
Yeah, my relationship with the fella that's getting married played a big factor. I'll spare everyone the details unless you really would like to know. A kids wedding definitely takes priority, though I'd probably try to get them to pick a date that isn't one of three days this year (Oregon, um, osu.) Of course, there are ways to have that conversation without saying "I'm not going, deal with it" as the parent.Robert J Sakimano wrote:True story: my whacked out nutjob brother-in-law told his son and daughter two things:Travis of the Cosmos wrote:After spending the better part of the last month cursing the name and the unborn children of a guy who decided to invite me to his stupid fucking wedding on September 12th, I finally sent the RSVP that said no.
